Hurricane Florence Updates
The New Garden Office will be closed on Friday, September 14, 2018. Saturday, September 15 – Joyce Ajlouny, General Secretary for American Friends Service Committee was scheduled to speak at New Garden at 6:30 p.m. The event has been canceled and is not re-scheduled at this time. Sunday, September 16 – Safer Schools Forum has been rescheduled for September 23. The Meeting will be open on Sunday morning for regular meeting times.

The Flea Market needs your help! It’s time to clean out your closets & attics and bring clean, gently used items to Norvell Hall. Volunteers will be sorting donations Sunday afternoons from 3 – 5 p.m. This is a great way to serve the community and get to know other New Gardeners. Piedmont Friends Fellowship will hold their annual Fall Retreat the weekend of September 7-9 at Seven Springs Lodge and Retreat, 118 Alder Ln, Mocksville, NC 27028. Meeting For Worship Guest Speakers / August 19th
We are so excited to welcome Juana Tobar Ortega, who is in sanctuary at St. Barnabas Church, and Lori Fernald Khamala from American Friends Service Committee as our guest speakers during Meeting for Worship at 11:00 a.m. on August 19! Worship will be intentionally bilingual (Spanish/English) and Juana Ortega will speak to us via Skype, so Friends should prepare for worship that day to be a little unusual (but beautiful!).
