This Sunday, June 5, based on feedback from many in our community, other committee efforts, and insights from literature, the Anti-racism group at NGFM would like to recommend the following points for approval of Monthly Meeting. Art needs to be curated and possibly rearranged with an antiracism lens and evaluated to be kept or explained (e.g. mosaics, William Penn picture, Hicks picture some of which have problematic images of indigenous Americans, etc.). Covid Medical Advisory / June 1, 2022

Summer Program is June 13-17, 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. This week long, cooperative program takes on a different theme each year. Participants engage in a number of activities centered around that theme. It’s Scholarship Time Again / Applications Due by May 31, 2022

Scholarship applications can be obtained by email from the meeting office. Completed applications are due May 31. Each year New Garden Meeting awards scholarship assistance to students from several established funds. Some 25 years ago, New Garden Friends Meeting helped a Somali refugee family resettle in Greensboro. The family of Sharif Ali and his wife, Bibi, arrived with seven children.
