Meeting For Worship Guest Speakers / August 19th

We are so excited to welcome Juana Tobar Ortega, who is in sanctuary at St. Barnabas Church, and Lori Fernald Khamala from American Friends Service Committee as our guest speakers during Meeting for Worship at 11:00 a.m. on August 19! Worship will be intentionally bilingual (Spanish/English) and Juana Ortega will speak to us via Skype, so Friends should prepare for worship that day to be a little unusual (but beautiful!).

The director of the film, Pilar Timpane, has offered us an opportunity to screen the 45-minute director’s cut of her film. Volunteer Your Potluck Super Powers for the Guilford College Student Progressive Dinner / August 24

6:00 p.m. / Friendship Hall It’s that time of year again, when New Gardeners show their potluck super powers to feed the young adult Friends from Guilford College. We provide dinner, and Friendship Meeting provides dessert.  Please leave food in the kitchen before or as close to 5 p.m. as possible. We expect around at least 50 hungry students and staff.
