Child / Baby Dedication / May 13

Children and babies may be dedicated during worship on any Sunday of the year, but many families choose to dedicate children on the days observed as Mother’s Day (May 13) or Father’s Day (June 17).  Baby/Child dedications are an opportunity for all of us to welcome a child into our community and promise to love and support the entire family in child-rearing.

Anna Sykes solo with Orchestra / May 13

NGFM’s very own, Anna Sykes, will be soloing with the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra on Sunday, May 13 at 4 p.m. in Dana Auditorium on the Guilford College campus. Anna will be playing the first movement of the Mendelssohn, Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64. Friendship Community Partnership Joint Workshop / April 18

The Friendship Community Partnership includes 5 churches; Collins Grove UMC, New Garden Friends, Persimmon Grove AME, Raleigh’s Cross Roads UMC and St. Barnabas Episcopal.
