Missing Black Lives Matter Sign Reappears / October 11, 2022

The mysterious August disappearance of the Black Lives Matter sign from the yard at New Garden Friends Meeting was resolved on October 11. Members of the landscape maintenance crew for New Garden Cemetery spotted the sign in the woods near the cemetery. Local Quaker History Tour / October 15 , 2022

On Saturday, October 15, a 2:00 pm tour of the New Garden burial ground will focus on the wealth of stories interred there among Quaker activists, educators, sports figures, and other interesting “characters.” This tour will take the place of the usual Hallowe’en tour (without “actors”) which can’t be offered this year owing to scheduling conflicts.
