Covid-19 Vaccine Information / June 9, 2021

We held our first outdoor in-person semi-programmed meeting, with simultaneous Zoom, on June 6 at 10 a.m. Approximately 70 people were in attendance on the meeting house grounds and 30 participated by Zoom. Also at the June  6, Monthly Meeting we approved a reopening plan that prioritizes safety and inclusiveness for all users of the building, both New Gardeners and visitors: Outdoor gatherings are safest; we encourage groups of all sizes to consider this option.…

Covid-19 Vaccine Information / June 2, 2021

Cases of COVID and hospitalizations in NC have stabilized at relatively low levels this week. Vaccination numbers increased last week with NC now having 38.6% of the total population and 76.9% of persons age 65 years and older now fully vaccinated. Vaccination continues for 12-15 year olds. Greensboro Urban Ministry Food Drive / June 2021

Again, this year Greensboro Urban Ministries has had to forego their spring food drive at local participating grocery stores due to COVID. You may remember that last year New Garden Friends Meeting had an alternative, virtual food drive, and raised $2,372 to help re-stock the GUM’s food pantry.
