This year’s Seekers Classes are set to start February 17th and will run for four Sundays from February 17 – March 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. These sessions are wonderful for newcomers and also long-time members where we will cover the basics of Quaker history, the testimonies, and Quaker faith, Quaker community practices and business practices and variations among different branches of Quakers.
"How we can use the Quaker legacy of direct action campaigning to meet today's turbulent America." George Lakey will share good news from Quaker history and his own experience with nonviolence. Recently retired from teaching at Swarthmore College, George was first arrested in the civil rights movement and most recently in 2018 in the Power Local Green Jobs campaign. His new book, the tenth, is "How We Win: A Guide to Nonviolent Direct Action Campaigning." …

Deep River Friends Meeting / Gathering will begin at 9:30 a.m., and committees will meet from 10 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Lunch at 12:30 p.m. and is bring your own, with drinks and salad provided. There will be a meeting for worship with concern for business at 1:30 - 4 p.m.
