This vigil to honor the homeless young man killed by police is held every Monday, 12 to 1 p.m. on Washington Street, in front of Greensboro city council and police departments. NCFF Antiracism Group Meeting

Tuesday, May 25, is the one-year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. Our NCFF Antiracism group will meet that night at 7 p.m. In memory of Mr. Floyd and all of the other Black people who have been killed in police custody, we will share our grief and anguish along with our prayers of lament. Unprogrammed Meeting for Worship will be held outdoors from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Worship will take place outside the Worship Room in the grassy area between the covered porch and the parking lot. The resumption of in-person Unprogrammed Meeting for Worship follows the governor’s easing of restrictions regarding gatherings of people and the transmission of COVID-19. With the increasing vaccinations and easing of restrictions on outdoor events, Memorial Day tours of the New Garden graveyard will resume on the 31st. We will still take precautions, however.
