Children and babies can be dedicated during worship on any Sunday of the year but many families choose to dedicate children on either 5/13 or 6/17. Baby/Child dedications are an opportunity for all of us to welcome a child into our community and promise to support and love that child.

Anna Sykes solo with Orchestra

Dana Auditorium, Guilford College / NGFM’s very own, Anna Sykes, will be soloing with the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra in Dana Auditorium on the Guilford College campus. Anna will be playing the first movement of the Mendelssohn, Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64. Anna is receiving this opportunity as this year’s winner of the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra concerto competition and the resulting Sam Wilson Scholarship award. The concert is free! Recognition Sunday

This is an opportunity to recognize the wonderful work of our First Day School (religious education) teachers and also recognize our children (and young adults) as they reach important milestones.  We will recognize graduating high school seniors, rising 4th graders, and rising 2nd graders.

What Puts the “E” in “SPICES”?

Brotherhood Room / The Social Concerns committee invites you to bring a bag lunch and join us monthly - every 3rd Sunday, thru December 2018, for movie and discussion series on our Quaker Testimony of Equality.     Let's meet with our sandwiches right after worship, watch a movie on an aspect of equality (race, sex, gender, religion, class, for example) and finish with a discussion.

Friendship Community Partnership Meeting

  All are welcome at the next Friendship Community Partnership meeting at Collins Grove United Methodist Church, 210 Collins Grove Church Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410. We’ll be planning our annual summer cookout, Harvest Festival, and October trip. Come join us, bring a snack (optional), meet new people and share ideas of how our partnership can benefit the community.
