From David Smith of Deep River Friends Meeting / Please join us for the fourth annual “Camp Out for Hunger at Deep River Friends.” Every year we raise food and funds for food to support our Meetings local pantry, Hand to Hand Pantry, and at least one other organization working to rid our community of food insecurity. This year I would love to have other Friends or Meetings from North Carolina Fellowship of Friends help us reach a big goal of 20,000 lbs. The first 10,000 lbs would go to Hand to Hand Pantry and the other 10,000 lbs. would go to BackPack Beginnings. If we don’t reach our goal the collection will be split evenly.
