We have been providing “complete household setups” for quite a few Afghan families and groups of men who don’t have the support of co-sponsors. This means we pack everything they need for their new home, like kitchen items, bathroom necessities, bed linens, along with mattresses and furniture. Movers come to New Garden Friends Meeting, load everything and then set up the apartment or house for our new community members. If we don’t have an item, like a microwave or a blanket, we can’t provide it and they go without it initially. In addition to the list below, we are out of mattress pads (twin, full, queen sizes), pillows, shower curtain liners and hooks. We would greatly appreciate donations of these necessities! Please email Martha Hughes-James with questions.

Our open hours through February: Wednesdays 2-5, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays 12:30-3:00.
