Christmas is right around the corner and plans are underway for how New Garden Friends Meeting can safely celebrate Christmas together as a community. Thanks to the hard work of Roger Seel (clerk of House Committee), aided by Linda Maynard (clerk of Grounds Committee) we have a live Christmas tree that has been planted near our worship room in the space that was left by the oak tree that came down last fall.

On November 28 Friends are invited to begin decorating our living Christmas tree! New Gardeners can make or purchase ornaments that will be safe to stay outside on the tree for the four weeks of advent and bring them to Meeting for Worship any First Day starting on November 28. We will have an in-person Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 24. The service will be candle-lit and outside around our firepit and Christmas tree. Due to the chilly weather, the service will be a bit shorter this year but will include our traditional scripture reading and carol singing and other beloved traditions.
