Please join us on Tuesday, February 23, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. when we begin our spring programming on antiracism. We will continue these discussions on the fourth Tuesday of each month through May and will send out the Zoom link to anyone who participated in the fall or who requests it in an email to Frank Massey ([email protected]). We welcome your participation and would love to have representatives from all the meetings in NCFF!
If you are new to our programs and did not participate in the fall, we invite you to an orientation from 6 – 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23 before our regular program starts at 7 p.m. At that time we will try to summarize what we have covered thus far and will take any questions you might have. We want this to be a safe space for everyone.
At 7 p.m., our focus will be on the book Caste: The Origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson. This book can help us look at American history through a different lens as well as look at our current situation with respect to race and racism. Although we encourage you to read the book, you do not need to have read it in order to attend this session.
We hope to see you many of you on February 23rd! In addition to seeing Friends from the fall, we would love to see some new faces! All are welcome to join us! For more information, call CH Holcombe (336) 250-4348.
