The NCFF Antiracism Working Group will meet Wednesday, October 19, at 7:00 pm. Mary Nelle Smith and Patricia Gutzwiller have been hard at work preparing to lead our discussion of the book, Dying of Whiteness: How the Politics of Racial Resentment is Killing America’s Heartland by Jonathan M. Metzl. You do not have to read the book to participate!
During the meeting, we will share a short video interview of the author along with other background materials. North Carolina Quaker 350th Jubilee at Quaker Lake on November 5;

A Celebration of the Edmundson/Fox visits to North Carolina in 1672
You are invited to a re-dedication of the Edmundson/Fox memorial in Hertford, North Carolina which marks the sites where both William Edmundson and George Fox visited in 1672. The monument has been moved due to bridge construction and is being rededicated at it new location on Sunday, October 23 at 3:00 p.m. at the corner of Church & Newby Streets in Hertford. Bring your own lawn chair.
Invitation for Quaker Parents: An Online Support Group
The Quaker parent mutual support groups are a supportive forum in which Quaker parents can talk about their parenting in their faith. It’s open to any Friend currently raising children under age 19. FREE, online, facilitated in English on Zoom. The groups meet for an hour every other week, twelve gatherings total, between November 2022 and April 2023.
