A New Contact person for Caring Friends / With gratitude and deep appreciation, we thank Jane Carter and Carol Cothern for their leadership of Caring Friends – a ministry of support delivered by New Gardeners who serve those in our community who are facing difficult situations by sending cards of support, delivering meals, delivering hugs in the form of handmade afghans, or checking in on folks through phone calls. Jane and Carol have served as co-coordinators, organizing the many folks that make this ministry possible for many years. Caring Friends also reaches out to celebrate births and other extraordinary moments in the lives of New Gardeners. Going forward, Christine Lawe will be serving as Caring Friends Coordinator.
