Drew Lanham<\/a>, Alumni Distinguished Professor of Wildlife Ecology at Clemson University, will give a talk in the Carnegie Room of Hege Library on the Guilford College campus. Drew&#8217;s talk is entitled \u201cLoving the Land &#8212; The Heart&#8217;s Way Forward to Nurturing Nature in the Anthropocene.&#8221; An avid birder, Drew teaches wildlife biology and ecology at Clemson, but he&#8217;s also a fabulous creative nonfiction writer, most recently of a great article in Orion about the Carolina Parakeet as well as a beautiful memoir called The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man&#8217;s Love Affair with Nature).
