The New Garden community is saddened by the passing of William (Bill) Rogers, longtime member of New Garden Friends Meeting and former president of Guilford College.
Friends will recall his thoughtful and tender messages out of the silence and on occasion his spontaneously breaking into heartfelt spirituals.
Bill had an unassuming yet weighty presence. Seasons at New Garden could be marked by Bill’s and Bev’s annual peregrinations to Maine for summers and back again for the winters.
