Volunteers and Service at New Garden Friends Meeting

Even though New Garden Friends Meeting has a pastoral minister and a modest staff, much of the work of the Meeting is carried out by volunteers.

Volunteers serve on the many committees that mange virtually all aspects of the Meeting’s affairs and presence in our community and the world. Committees at New Garden manage the Meeting House, tend to the financial resources at the Meeting, and decide how those resources will be distributed to support good works and efforts for peach and justice. It takes scores of volunteers to keep all of New Garden’s committees functioning throughout the year.

Community Efforts and Causes

Volunteers from the New Garden Community also are involved in a variety of community efforts and causes. These include Greensboro Urban Ministry, organizations that seek to improve racial relations, Habitat for Humanity, and others.

Whatever one’s talents, skills and interests, they can be put to good use at New Garden.
