Social Concerns Committee provides small grants to organizations for projects that address priority issues through the Meeting’s Broader Concerns budget. Priorities for 2019 include:
• Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
• Poverty, homelessness, and hunger
• Youth engagement
• Clean energy and climate change crisis
• Social, racial, and economic justice
• Refugee crisis and immigrant rights
If you know an organization with a project or program advancing any of these priorities, have them send a 1-page proposal to Sara White or Bill McNeil. The deadline for proposals is March 9. Projects may be located in Greensboro, elsewhere in the U.S., or in another country. Usually grants are in the range of $250-500, with exceptions for exceptional proposals. For more information,
please contact Sara or Bill at the email addresses above.
