Peace and Social Concerns seeks proposals for funds to address Urgent COVID-19 Needs. New Garden Friends Meeting’s Peace and Social Concerns Committee provides small grants to organizations for projects that address priority issues through the Meeting’s Broader Concerns budget. In light of the COVID-19 crisis, we are seeking requests from organizations to help people affected by the disease and loss of jobs and critical services related to the disease.

If you know an organization with a project or program addressing unmet urgent needs resulting from the COVID-19 crisis, please have them send a one-page proposal to Patricia Gutzwiller at ([email protected]) or Bill McNeil at ([email protected]).

We are also interested in your ideas about needs you think deserve attention, perhaps those that are not being addressed by others.
Proposals and ideas should be submitted by May 7, 2020. Projects may be located in Greensboro, elsewhere in the U.S., or in another country. Usually grants are in the range of $250-500, with exceptions for exceptional proposals. For more information, please contact Patricia or Bill at the email addresses above.
