Children are Welcome at Meeting for Worship
Childcare is available beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the rise of Meeting for Worship. However, all children are invited and encouraged to join us during Meeting for Worship. Crayons and activity packets are available in the foyer outside the Worship room. Please email Karin Heller if you plan to use childcare to ensure coverage. [email protected]
Adult Forum 9:45-10:45 a.m. (hybrid-parlor and Zoom).
December 4: Do you remember playing in the woods as a child? Many children do not share in that experience now. At Piedmont Forest School children of all abilities and backgrounds can experience authentic forest school and nature-based education programs which foster the development of the whole child, while engendering in them a love of and a commitment to caring for the natural world. We envision progressive and equitable educational programs where children of all abilities and backgrounds learn together year-round through creative play while immersed in nature.
Please come learn more about our work and how you can join with PFS in realizing this mission by becoming a donor to the scholarship program or sponsoring a child’s tuition, so that more children from underrepresented groups may benefit.
December 11: Through circle processes and dialogue, learn to recognize microaggressions and improve a culture of diversity in the communities you live and work.
Facilitator, Zulfiya Tursunova, Peace and Conflict Studies at Guilford College.
