Dear Friends, We had a lovely time together on Sunday during Intergenerational First Day School. We all listened to a powerful Faith and Play story, and smaller Friends did their “work” in response. When I look back and see how our children respond to the stories, I am reminded of their wisdom, Light, and ministry. I’ve included a picture of one Friend’s art work. You can find it, and more on the Religious Education bulletin board.

Intergenerational First Day School isn’t just for our littler Friends either! All participants seem to get quite a bit out of the Faith and Play stories, and the additional fellowship and discussion that follow. This week we also took some time to explore the FWCC (Friends World Committee on Consultation) website and event information for the upcoming section meeting taking place next month at Haw River State Park. There will be many wonderful workshops led by knowledgeable Friends like Wess Daniels, Colin Saxton, Emily Provance, and our own Bill Eagles (to name a few), While the deadline for in person attendance has passed, it’s not too late to register to attend online. Register here.

Children are Welcome at Meeting for Worship!

All children are invited and encouraged to join us during Meeting for Worship. There is a blanket in the back corner of the meetingroom for children to sit on for Meeting for Wiggles. They are welcome to bring small, quiet toys to play with. Crayons and activity packets are available in the foyer outside the Worship room.
Childcare is available beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the rise of Meeting for Worship.

Please email Karin Heller if you plan to use childcare to ensure coverage. [email protected]

Adult Forum– 9:45-10:45 a.m. (hybrid-parlor and Zoom): This week we will participate in another spiritual deepening activity. We will ground ourselves in, and respond to scripture using queries, discussion, and/or journaling. Friends are invited to bring a notebook and pencil or pen as they feel led.
