New Garden’s Peace and Social Concerns Committee provides small grants to organizations for projects that address priority issues through the Meeting’s Broader Concerns budget. Priorities for 2019 include: • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution • Poverty, homelessness, and hunger • Youth engagement • Clean energy and climate change crisis • Social, racial, and economic justice • Refugee crisis and immigrant rights. If you know an organization with a project or program that advances any of these priorities, please have them send a one-page proposal to Patricia Gutzwiller and/or Bill McNeil. Proposals are due October 5, 2019. Projects may be located in Greensboro, elsewhere in the U.S., or in another country. Usually grants are in the range of $250-500, with exceptions for exceptional proposals. For more information, please contact Patricia or Bill at the email addresses above.
