As we continue the weekly explanation of the New Garden Friends Meeting committees we would like to highlight the work of our
Literature/Library Committee and our Music Committee. Literature/Library Committee provides guidance and support for the Librarian and manages the literature functions of the Meeting. This includes the management and promotion of our library, oversees the literature racks in the Meetinghouse and maintains subscriptions to a variety of Quaker journals. The committee meets four times per
year with six members on staggered three year terms with the Librarian as clerk.
Music Committee oversees all aspects of the music program at NGFM. The committee oversees the hiring and work of the Music Director and the Organist. They facilitate the musical part of our Meeting for Worship and other special services at New Garden Friends Meeting. The committee has nine members on staggered three year terms and meets as needed.
