Mississippi River for the People of Vietnam Begins Soon / June 2023

Dear Friends, You may be familiar with the projects of Madison Quakers, Inc. For the past thirty-one years, we have been doing humanitarian work with the people of Vietnam—building schools, drilling wells, sponsoring loan funds, and other projects in rural communities. To do this work we have raised funds from generous donors across the United States.

Here is some news about an exciting project I will be undertaking later this year to raise funds for this important work..

Early June, I will be setting out on a three-month-long journey kayaking the entire Mississippi River! Nearly fifty years ago I built a boat from a kit and paddled the Mississippi from Lake Itasca down to New Orleans, and I have decided to do it again at age 75. This time making I will be making my way all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico in a kayak that I have been building myself over the past eight months.
