The (GAL) Guardian ad Litem Mission: Be A Voice For the Children in Our Community
• GAL Volunteers are trained as child advocates for abused and neglected children.
• Child advocates and attorneys work together to champion children’s needs in court.
• Child advocates promote a safe and permanent home for children.

During these challenging and trying times we are all living through, the Guilford County Guardian ad Litem Program is continuing to pursue its mission. We are an advocacy program through the Administrative Office of the Courts that recruits and guides community
volunteers in serving as court-appointed advocates for the abused and neglected children of Guilford County in juvenile court. While the ways all of us are going about our business and lives are different now, the need for volunteer child advocates remains ever-present.
