North Carolina Quaker Men will hear former NFL lineman now of First Fruits Farm speak. Jason Brown, formerly the highest paid NFL lineman, will speak about his journey from football to becoming a farmer and providing hundreds of thousands of pounds of produce to the hungry in North Carolina. Friendship Community Partnership is sponsoring an Underground Railroad Tour in the Guilford College Woods. Meet in the New Garden Friends Meeting parking lot. Dana Auditorium, on the campus of Guilford College / Author Fergus Bordewich will present “Still Bound for Canaan. The Underground Railroad, its History, and its Meaning for the Twenty-First Century.” This event is hosted by the North Carolina Friends Historical Society, in partnership with Guilford College and the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro.
