NC Friends Historical Society Annual Meeting & Luncheon

Friends Homes West Living Room, 6100 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro. The buffet luncheon is $17.00
per person. The talk, to follow the luncheon, by Max L. Carter is free. Max Carter, retired professor of Quaker Studies at Guilford College, will share stories from the forthcoming book “Reflections on a Quaker Graveyard” that he and Gertrude
Beal have compiled and edited. The stories feature some of the remarkable people interred in New Garden Friends cemetery. Carter will talk about how the idea of the book came to be in tours of the burial ground offered on Halloween, Memorial Day and other occasions. Those who wish to attend the luncheon should send a check for $17.00 per person attending to the North Carolina Friends Historical Society, PO Box 8502, Greensboro, NC 27419.
