Meeting for Worship / Un-Programmed
September 3 @ 9:00 am - 9:45 am
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Sunday, repeating indefinitely
Unprogrammed Meeting for Worship will be held outdoors from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Worship will take place outside the Worship Room in the grassy area between the covered porch and the parking lot.
The resumption of in-person Unprogrammed Meeting for Worship follows the governor’s easing of restrictions regarding gatherings of people and the transmission of COVID-19.
As usual with unprogrammed worship, there will be no prepared message or music. There will be no singing.
Attendees are requested to wear masks, even if vaccinated. Worshipers should bring folding chairs and sit in family groups, socially distanced at least six feet from other households.
Some folding chairs will be available on the porch for those who need them. In the event of rain, Friends may gather on the porch to the extent allowed by social distancing.
New Garden Friends Meeting’s COVID Medical Advisory Group has recommended these protocols to allow all members and attenders to participate safely, according to their circumstances and preferences.
Programmed Meeting for Worship will continue virtually, as it has for the last year, from 11 a.m. to noon on Zoom and Facebook Live. The Medical Advisory Group notes that this remains the safest option for those who have unvaccinated or high-risk members in their households.
To accommodate in-person Unprogrammed Meeting, Virtual Religious Education activities will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday on Zoom until further notice.
