We at the UU Church of Greensboro are excited to host a Get Out the Vote Concert performed by Emma’s Revolution. Known for fearless, truth-telling lyrics and melodies you can’t resist singing, Emma’s Revolution is the award-winning activist duo of Pat Humphries & Sandy O. Some of you may remember Pat’s well-known “Swimming to the Other Side” featured on NPR. Emma’s Revolution’s songs have travelled around the world and have been sung for the Dalai Lama, praised by Pete Seeger, and covered by Holly Near.

This concert is part of a series of events across North Carolina in connection with the Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of North Carolina and UU the Vote. The Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of North Carolina is “a progressive, faith-based, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to ‘give life the shape of justice’ by supporting the social justice work of individual UUs and UU congregations in North Carolina, building relationships with others in the community who are working for justice and living into Unitarian Universalist values with respect to important racial, economic, environmental, and political issues.”

We invite you to join us for this special evening of music and empowerment. The concert will be live at UUCG (5603 Hilltop Road, Jamestown, NC 27282) and live streamed. Families with kids are welcome to enjoy the program, but please let us know if you will need childcare by emailing [email protected]
