Do you have grandchildren visiting for the summer or children of your own to entertain? The NGFM Library has a variety of age-appropriate books for all reading levels. A few examples:

• Children Just Like Me: Our Favorite Stories from Around the World by Jamila Gavin,
which features characters and images from diverse cultures

• The First Strawberries by Joseph Bruchac, a retelling of a traditional Cherokee legend

• The Drinking Gourd by Jeanette Winter, which tells a story of the Underground Railroad

• Imagining the Animals by Philippa Whitcomb,
which celebrates both the unity and diversity of life on earth

If you are new to the library, it’s located in the hallway connecting the meeting room to the fellowship hall. Children’s books are on the right side of the room. Instructions posted on the desk at the back of the room tell you how to check out a book.
