Racial Diversity Task Force Starting Early February

Following approval by Monthly Meeting, a task force is being created to study racial diversity at New Garden Friends Meeting and eventually make recommendations on how to increase diversity in worship, religious education programs, and other activities. The Diversity Task Force will begin in early February and conclude its work by December. Social Concerns Committee Seeks Proposals / Apply before October 7th

New Garden Friends Meeting Social Concerns Committee provides small grants to organizations for projects addressing priority issues through our Broader Concerns budget. Priorities for 2018, drawn from a Fall 2017 survey of New Gardeners include: peace and conflict prevention/resolution; poverty, homelessness, and hunger; youth engagement; environment and clean energy; social, racial, and economic justice and refugee crisis and immigrant rights.
