Friendship Community Partnership is collecting items for Family Service of the Piedmont through December 31. A collection box is in the Connector. Speaking Through Quilts with Valerie Paterson / Dec. 22

While we most commonly think of the love that quilts create, they are also an avenue of expression. This can range from frustration and anger to admiration and joy, honoring a person to presenting social issues. As part of the exhibit A Better World: Heroes working for the greater good (www.ABetterWorldExhibition.com) which includes quilts and essays, we will look at Valerie’s quilt “Hell and Hope” as well as samples from international quilt exhibits.

Opportunity to Support Quaker House / Dec. 3

On December 3, Quaker House will be participating in the Giving Tuesday Donation Campaign again this year. One avenue for giving to this campaign is through Facebook. As a registered nonprofit, Facebook never charges any processing fees for donations made to Quaker House through Facebook.
