NGFM’s Covid-19 Medical Advisory Group Recommendation; We had been hopeful that conditions for in-person meetings would improve before the holidays, but across the country the infection rates for Covid-19 are on the rise along with hospitalizations, positivity and death rates including those in Guilford County. We continue to recommend that New Garden Friends Meeting not sponsor in-person activities until local and state statistics provide reassurance that risk of viral transmission throughout our community is low. This past summer, for 2020 Summer Program, several New Gardeners recorded themselves reading children’s stories aloud for our Facebook page. These videos were popular with New Gardeners of all ages, and continued to receive “traffic” well after the dates they were posted. New Gardeners are missing one another!
