As we gradually resume in-person activities, we continue to prioritize safety and inclusiveness for all users of our meeting house, both New Gardeners and visitors. We will continue to hold semi-programmed meetings for worship at 10 a.m. on Sundays outdoors. This remains the safest way for a large group of people, vaccinated and unvaccinated, to be together. We held our first outdoor in-person semi-programmed meeting, with simultaneous Zoom, on June 6 at 10 a.m. Approximately 70 people were in attendance on the meeting house grounds and 30 participated by Zoom. Friends are advised that NGFM is now hosting outdoor, in-person un-programmed worship, weather permitting. All who attend are asked to bring their own chairs, if possible, and to wear a mask, physically distance, and use proper hand sanitation practices. Given Governor Cooper’s easing of restrictions in the state, the COVID Medical Advisory Group has made the decision to recommend a gradual resumption of in-person activities.
