Every year, on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, the Greensboro community comes together to fight hunger by participating in the Feast of Caring.

During the holiday season, many face hunger and cannot sit down to a holiday feast. They will be alone, hungry, and in crisis. At the Fest of Caring, guests can make a donation and enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread. All donations will support Greensboro Urban Ministry programs that fight hunger, homelessness, and poverty in our community.

Hundreds of participants join us for either lunch or dinner. Guests can dine in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, 1000 Friendly Avenue, or get their meal to-go. A dozen local chefs will provide a wide variety of gourmet soups & homemade bread that guests can enjoy for a minimum donation of $30.

Each year, one of the highlights is the THANK YOU gift each guest can select and take home. Choose a piece of handcrafted N.C. pottery or six beautiful William Mangum Holiday Honor Cards. Some of the area’s most talented potters donate their handmade bowls for this special event!

**Also this year, artist William Mangum will be on site with his new book, “Making a Difference,” available for purchase!
