A delicious, carry-out meal of Cowboy Stew, cornbread and desserts was provided following the 4-23-23 Intergenerational session. The food was prepared by the group of New Gardeners who prepare the meal each month for homeless residents at Weaver House. The Transition Team led the evening discussion on Leadership in preparation for our upcoming pastor search, and would like to thank the GUM cooks for providing the meal. ––The Transition Team
New Garden participated in the 4-22-23 Urban Ministry Food Drive and was able to collect 1,179 lbs of food and $313 in cash! Participating New Gardeners were: Pat Adelberger, John Bartlett, Tina Fisher, Ben Gulley, Patricia Gutzwiller, Judy Haughee-Bartlett, Janet Inmon, John Martinez, and Ron Pudlo. Dear Friends, I missed seeing you all last First Day. My boys and I took a mini-vacation in Chicago together.
