Many friends joined our discussion at the rise of Meeting for Worship last Sunday to decide on further steps to open the Meeting House to in-person worship. Tuesday, May 25, is the one-year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. Our NCFF Antiracism group will meet that night at 7 p.m. In memory of Mr. Floyd and all of the other Black people who have been killed in police custody, we will share our grief and anguish along with our prayers of lament. On Saturday May 1st, 10 folks from New Garden Friends Meeting met at Mitchell Park on Mitchell Ave (a very quiet wooded park none of us had visited before!) with trash bags, gloves and grabbers.
