Volunteers from New Garden Friends Meeting prepare meals for those in Greensboro’s homeless community and serve them on the first Tuesday of each month.
Dishes to be served usually are prepared by the volunteers at their homes. The food then is delivered to the kitchen in Fellowship Hall, where it picked up and transported to Greensboro Urban Ministry. That evening, volunteers from New Garden meet at Greensboro Urban Ministry, at the corner of Gate City Boulevard and Eugene Street, to serve the meal.
